Navigating long-term care and chronic illness support can be overwhelming, but John Hancock, in collaboration with The Helper Bees, is making it easier for policyholders to age-in-place with dignity. Together, they’ve introduced the Provider Network Program, a solution designed to simplify finding local, reliable, and affordable care options.

What is the John Hancock and The Helper Bees Provider Network?

This collaboration brings together John Hancock’s trusted life insurance and long-term care expertise with The Helper Bees’ innovative approach to care coordination. The Provider Network is a voluntary service that helps policyholders access:

  • Local Home Health Care Agencies: Experienced matching specialists recommend up to three accredited agencies tailored to the client’s specific needs.

  • Facility Providers: For more intensive care, such as assisted living or skilled nursing facilities, The Helper Bees can recommend options based on the client’s requirements.

Additionally, clients gain access to The Helper Bees Aging-in-Place Marketplace, which offers discounts on services like transportation, food delivery, home maintenance, and more. It also provides educational content on caregiver support, in-home safety, and other critical topics.

Eligibility and Access

The Provider Network is available to John Hancock policyholders with long-term care (LTC) or chronic illness riders. Policyholders or their authorized representatives, such as family members or Power of Attorney (POA), can request the service by contacting John Hancock’s Customer Service at 1-888-588-7720.

Why Choose the John Hancock and The Helper Bees Collaboration?

  • Credentialed Providers: Care providers recommended through the network are rigorously vetted to meet state-specific regulatory standards.

  • Affordable Options: The Helper Bees often negotiate reduced rates for home care agencies, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  • Flexible Choices: If the initial referrals don’t meet expectations, clients can request additional recommendations for home care agencies. For facility providers, self-sourcing through local resources remains an option.

Streamlined Process

Once clients select a provider, The Helper Bees streamline the setup and payment process. Invoices are sent via email, and policyholders can approve payments through DocuSign, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Empowering Aging-in-Place

John Hancock and The Helper Bees’ collaboration empowers policyholders to take control of their care needs while maintaining access to valuable resources through the Aging-in-Place Marketplace. Participation in the program is voluntary and does not impact policy benefits.
